Scarlatti was born in Naples in the same year as both Handel and JS Bach. His father Alessandro Scarlatti was also a composer and music teacher. Domenico is best known for his 555 keyboard sonatas, most of which were written in Madrid during his time as music master in the Spanish court. The following sonatas, K.208 and K.333, are transcribed for two guitars.
