Praetorius was a German composer of the Renaissance period. His work Terpsichore is a compendium of over 300 instrumental dances, mostly of French origin, which he arranged rather than composed. Two of the dances, Ballet and Bourree are played here as guitar quartets. An additional recording is included which features a recorder and tambourine: both electronically generated.
